When I was a kid, I'd get rocks and sticks out of the creek and
make little designs and sculptures. Being from a large family, I
figured out at the age of 9 that I was basically a loner and still am
today. Being raised in a "one horse town" in Kentucky, people thought
I was a weird kid for making designs out of sticks.
I joined the army at the age of 17 and spent 6 years traveling from
state to state, country to country. After getting out of the army, I
traveled a few more years and then decided to get back into my
childhood desire to design. Instead of sticks, I now work with metal.
Instead of the woods, I have a shop where I use my torch like a
pencil.
I am a self taught artist with no formal training, preferring to
create what I feel inspired to, and I feel that my talent is a gift
from above.
